Ying & Yang · 30 Days Wild 3
It’s been a day of contrasts weather wise. Dark gloomy skies and a heavy downpour this morning gave way to beautiful sunshine late afternoon. Sadly, weather like today’s often leaves me with atmospheric pressure induced migraines so I was unable to venture too far.
When the clouds burst I ventured into the garden, hoping it provide some kind of release for my headache (no luck), and was by amazed just how heavy the rain was. In just a couple of seconds, I was drenched and freezing cold! Feeling too wobbly to journey further than the garden I opted instead for wildlife spotting from the window.
Unlike previous years, I’ve seen very few starlings around and I’d been feeling a bit down about it as I absolutely love watching them, so I was thrilled when a flock of 21 landed at the end of the garden. My camera was charging at the time so I didn’t manage to grab a photo but just seeing them put a smile on my face.
It’s been a fantastic afternoon for cloud watching, so much of my day has been spent admiring the skies whilst planning out some ideas for the rest of the month. Spending the majority of my time inside, I decided to take a different approach to capturing the day and set up my camera to shoot some timelapse footage from the window. It hasn’t been my wildest of days, but it was a relaxing one admiring the view. Sometimes we just have to listen to our bodies and take things slowly.
I’ll be spending the evening working on some nature related drawings, sketching up a commission before painting it on canvas soon, and some design ideas for a secret project I’m working on.
