Today marks the Spring Equinox, the first astronomical day of Spring, and much to my surprise it actually feels pretty Spring-like outside (well, so long as I look past the patches of yet-to-melt snow). I like to use the equinoxes and solstices to look to new beginnings and lay rest to season just gone.
Like most people, I’m not the biggest fan of winter, so I’m really looking forward to moving into one of my two favourite seasons and hoping it reignites some passion and inspiration, things I find always falter during the coldest and wettest time of the year. I’ll be going more into the things I’m looking forward to in my next post, but for now, I wanted to take the time to look back and lay winter to rest (although I’m sure the weird weather this year has other ideas – I’ve read we’re due another cold snap).
I already did a post looking back on 2017 at the start of the year, so I’ve decided to keep this post short and share a gallery of my favourite memories instead. It’s not a selection of best images, just some of the moments that make me smile.
What were your favourite moments from winter? It’s easy to ignore the good and focus on the gloom, but no matter how dark winter gets there are always some positives to focus on.
